Prof. Dr. Marold Wosnitza is Professor of Education. His areas of expertise include self-assessment, motivation and emotion in learning and working processes and resilience. He is faculty dean of research of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at RWTH Aachen University and author and editor of numerous national and international publications in this field. Before he came to Aachen he was senior lecturer at Murdoch University in Perth Australia where he is now adjunct professor. Professor Wosnitza has managed and coordinated various national and international research projects specifically focusing on the transition from school to university and learning in higher education. Professor Wosnitza is head of the Self-Assessment-Team of RWTH Aachen University, which is the largest self-asssessment research group in Germany. The self-assessment team is using their methodological approach not only for student orientation but also in areas like teacher resilience or study drop out. The team developed the widely used self-assessment software package testMaker.
