Digital Approaches to Increasing Equity in Higher Education – Opening Universities for Refugees
We are pleased to announce that we are holding an International Conference and corresponding transfer workshop for our collaborative project SUCCESS – Study Success and Study Opportunities for Refugees at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from December 4 -6, 2019.
The international conference combines the expertise of outstanding scientists from current refugee research with insights into the opportunities and limitations of digital educational opportunities. It will be explored whether existing online educational offers actually facilitate the integration of prospective students with a flight background into their host country – including regular universities – and how refugees can be more successfully integrated into higher education.
The conference program can now be downloaded via the following link: Programm SUCCESS Conference
Address of the conference venue: Humboldt Graduate School, Festsaal Luisenstraße, Luisenstraße 56, 10117 Berlin
The international conference is addressed to interested researchers, representatives of educational practice and politics as well as the general public. In the first two days of the conference, the focus will be on the scientific foundation and evidence; the corresponding transfer workshop will address practice-relevant research results as well as expertise and experience from various educational institutions such as "Studienkollegs", International Offices and other practitioners who professionally deal with the integration of refugees in the university sector. Please note that the conference will be held in English, the transfer workshop in German (program download: SUCCESS Transferworkshop_Programm).
Registration is free of charge and can be made until November 15, 2019 by sending a brief e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our conference in Berlin and to exchanging ideas with you!
