Sub-project Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz: In order to examine the key research questions of competence diagnostics, assessments must be carried out at no less than three different points in time. For this purpose, study programs at Kiron are divided into phases: Study phase I describes the successful integration of qualified students into the Kiron platform as well as their subsequent completion of a study program at Kiron. The first assessment time point serves the purpose of performing entry diagnostics of the students‘ skills. One year later, a second assessment is carried out to analyze the study progress.
Study phase II comprises the successful transition of Kiron graduates to a partner university. In this context, process diagnostics examine the effects of these measures on Kiron students‘ academic success and competency acquisition, and determine ways to optimize individual teaching-learning processes.
